Recently a grand wedding with much fanfare took place in the Balaji show Pavitra Rishta. Archana (Ankita) and Manav (Sushant) tied the knot in-front of many people, but to the absolute horror of the duo, the shaadi turned out to be real. As per the eye witness from the sets, “The mantras that the pundit was chanting, was for real. For that matter, the mangalsutra and the pheres were authentic! After knowing this, the duo (Ankita and Sushant) were shocked and horrified. They went to the Balaji production team and asked them to undo the marriage. Well now, whose version is more close to truth is not clear, as all three have their own say on the matter. But it would be quite interesting to see if Archana and Manav are termed married in real with their reel shaadi.

Samajwadi Party names Sanjay Dutt its new general secretary
New Delhi, Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt may be unable to contest elections but Thursday got a firm foothold in the world of politics when he became general secretary of the Samajwadi Party."I am very happy that party leader Mulayam Singhji and other seniors chose me to become the party's national general secretary," Dutt told reporters at a press conference. "Mein dil se kam karoonga aur sach ke liye kam karoonga (I will work with my heart and for the truth)." Dutt had been given a ticket by the Samajwadi Party to contest the Lok Sabha election from Lucknow but could not do so after the Supreme Court Tuesday refused to suspend his conviction for owning illegal arms in the run-up to the 1993 serial bombings in Mumbai. He lashed out at the Congress for ill-treating his father, the late actor and central minister Sunil Dutt. "My father was very unhappy when the Congress took in Sanjay Nirupam (the Shiv Sena leader in Mumbai who joined the Congress). They have now given Nirupam a ticket - the same guy who had made such derogatory remarks about Sunil Dutt sahib and the Congress when he was with the Shiv Sena. My father would have been hurt and saddened," Dutt said. He said when he had stood by his sister Priya Dutt, a Congress parliamentarian, it was "as a brother, not a politician". "At the time I was rooting for her as her brother not as a politician... times have changed."

"When the song was completed and the whole crew had a look, it looked very beautiful and eye catching. But most importantly everyone's eyes were stuck at seeing Kareena's dress. Kareena was looking gorgeous. The dress cost Rs.800,000," said a source close to the producer.
The filmmaker has also gifted the dress to Kareena as she looked really pretty wearing it.
"Sajid Nadiadwala is a wonderful person at heart. He always makes sure that his cast and crew is happy. Kareena was happy after receiving such an extra-ordinary gift from Sajid bhai. She was short of words to express her feeling after she received the gift." added the source.

After superstar Shah Rukh Khan made quite a few appearances on-screen with a moustache (most recently in ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’), it’s time for none other than rival Salman Khan to follow his footsteps. Although both the actors are adamant on continuing their cold war, Sallu seems to be a secret admirer of SRK’s moustache look, for the actor is all set to don the same himself. Grapevine has it that Salman will be seen flaunting a moustache for the first time ever in his upcoming film ‘Dabangg’. Reports reveal that veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha`s daughter Sonakshi is making debut opposite Salman in this film. Well, with that, moustache does seem to be flavour of the season for our heroes, otherwise it would not be easy to make Salman do what Shah Rukh’s been doing!

Yeah, you read that right, Bollywood’s Khiladi Akshay Kumar has reportedly reduced his fee from Rs 50 crore to 20 crore. According to reports, Akshay, who is known to be very particular about the money he takes home, has gone ahead and done something really unexpected by slashing down his price. What’s all the more surprising is the fact that Akshay took the step after the overwhelming response to his latest film ‘Kambakkht Ishq’, which generated more than Rs 100 crore at the Box Office. It is believed that the major reason for this price reduction is that the actor now wants a part of the profits of every film he undertakes. With the new mechanism in place, Akshay, these days, is insisting on knowing the cost of the film at the time of signing it so that he can calculate the profit beforehand. Priyanka Chopra and Shahid in Dirt!
On the shoot of Kaminey, Priyanka had to ride the scooter and Shahid was to sit behind her. The shot was simple enough; they just had to ride till about 15 meters. However, it got complicated when Priyanka could not manage the balance of the two-wheeler. They did a couple of takes but the scooter seemed to not be in her grip, and as a result both she and Shahid went down with a thud on the mucky road. Neither of them was hurt, as the speed of the scooter was slow. However, the wet mud and dirt on the road didn’t go so easily and shooting had to be stopped for nearly an hour, while both the stars wiped themselves clean. Amazingly enough, the next take of the shot was Ok. Shahid still teases Priyanka about his fall, as this is the only time in his life that he had ever fallen off a scooter.

Rani Mukherjee whose last few films, flopped miserably at the box office, is quite desperate to resurrect her career. Rani, who was the queen of hearts not too long ago, has all but disappeared these days. The only film that she has on hand is Yash Raj Films' Dil Bole Hadippa opposite Shahid Kapur. The actress who was at the peak of her career a few years ago with releases like Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Black, Yash Raj's Veer Zaara and Karan Johar's Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, suddenly seems to have come up against a wall. Her talent is not really in question, but her luck and choice of films is. After Black, instead of going for a variety of roles which would showcase her talent, the actress chose instead to stick to banners like Yash Raj alone and had some of the biggest flops in her life with Laaga Chunri Mein Daag and Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic. Bhansali's Saawariya did nothing to improve matters. Now that all her eggs are all in one basket, the actress has decided to seek the help of the divine. She is believed to have undertaken a fast on every Thursday for 40 weeks, followed by a pooja at the Sai Baba temple in Shirdi. The actress has already been at it for the last three months. We just hope for her sake that it all works out fine for her. After all, the industry is not really known to be very supportive of actresses over a certain age. But things just may change and maybe Rani will again become the queen of hearts and the box office.

Preity Zinta's meeting with the Prime Minister of New Zealand
Prime Minister of New Zealand invited Preity Zinta along with the Indian cricket team at the Parliament of NZ and discussed cricket with her. Preity Zinta also assured him that cricket players will be provided security and India was a very safe country. This came after the attack on Sri Lankan team in Lahore. Preity condemns these attacks and says that it was a sad day for cricket and sports in general. Preity is deeply chocked and sympathizes with the team. Deepika Padukone who is known for her style statement in real as well as in reel shocked her audience when she appeared very awful in an item number done in a Telugu film titled Love 4ever. Her hair styling and make-up was done in such an amateur manner that she looked very atrocious in the song. Interestingly, days back her item number was reported to be one of its kinds and it was also said that Deepika was looking hot and sexy like never before. But the result appeared to be just opposite. Deepika debuted with a Kannada film, ‘Aishwarya’ but this is her first item number in a south film. Deepika Padukone said that she had accepted the song as it is very crucial and the story moves forward with her song. Directed by Jayant, the film has two lead debutantes. Deepika’s dance number has been choreographed by Ahmed Khan at a Hyderabad studio.

Katrina Kaif turns 25 today and the celebration is on but without beau Salman Khan. Kat is on a holiday trip to Italy with her large family comprising of seven sisters and one brother. Shahid-Kareena-Saif’s love triangle on big screen
It is rumored that Spectra Multimedia Films is going to make a film based on the love triangle of Shahid, Kareena and Saif. The film titled ‘The Secret Life of Kareena’ and it will reveal the hidden truth of Kareena’s life as what made her dump Shahid and fell in love with Saif during the shooting of Tashan. It will also divulge as how Kareena snubbed Soha Ali Khan and many such interesting facts which the cine-goers might have heard only in bits and pieces. To avoid any controversy, the protagonists will tentatively name the characters as Karina, Saifee and Shaheed. It is also heard that Saifee’s character in the film to some extent will be inspired from Salman Khan’s hot-headed personality encircling his violent love stories with his ex-girlfriends Somi Ali and Aishwarya Rai. To bring the real life incident on celluloid involves risk as the real personalities might raise objection. Moreover, the makers are facing difficulties in getting stars as no one is willing to portray the real character. They have approached actress Shradha Sharma to play Karina’s role but the actress politely turned down as she is uncomfortable with a particular scene where Shaheed cuts his wrists for the actress and moreover she does not want to miff Kareena by playing the real life Karina.

Amitabh Bachchan underwent his regular check up at Lilavati Hospital on Wednesday morning.. Bachchan, 66, was hospitalized last year due a to severe stomach problem. The hospital authorities refused to comment about the checkup. Amitabh cleared all the confusion in his blog. He said that he departed from London to Mumbai a day earlier for a CT scan and general examination. He also added that he had cancelled all his travel plans and shooting untill he was fighting fit.Let us pray for the speedy recovery of Big B!

Recession stalls Ekta’s channel launch
After her serials going off air and her films not striking success at the box-office, now its producer Ekta Kapoor’s channel that will not be launched. The soap queen who was on the verge of launching her own entertainment channel will have to put it on hold due to recession. Though Ekta had invested and applied for the broadcast license of her channel, after her rift with Star India.
Ekta’s Balaji Telefilms Ltd along with Star India had plans to launch regional channels, however the delay in these plans led to a fall out between the two. She had then planned to start her own channel almost a year ago, but recession did play spoilt sport. The channel would air daily soaps and reality shows. When Salman Khan turned up on the sets of 10 Ka Dum many wondered if he was growing a beard for a role. The fitness freak; one hears, has torn a tissue in his back during a training session at the gym and is in great pain, hence the stubble. But being a pucca professional that he is; he was back on the sets in no time all spruced up, clean shaven and raring to go. The only giveaway was the short breaks he took when the back hurt too much. Like he says… age is catching up!

When Rakhi met Neeta Lulla, she told her that she wants to look just like Aishwarya Rai. Neeta shared some design sketches with Rakhi on the kind of look that she should have, and suggested various colours that would look good on her complexion. She also told Rakhi that she wants her to be dressed very traditionally like a true Indian princess on her big day. Farah Ali Khan showed Rakhi various intricate stone studded designs that she should wear for her big day. From Diamonds to Kundans to Emerald and Rubies, Rakhi got a chance to try on necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings. Farah not only suggested what outfits she should wear them on, but also gave her suggestions on maintaining her jewellery.

As the late King of Pop's family prepares for the singer’s funeral on Tuesday, they have been told his brain would be held back for tests. After Celina Jaitley’s firm support to Gay rights, John Abraham and Aamir khan have come forward to talk about the issue. John Abraham says that the step is in the positive direction and he his quite happy the the court has finally given equal rights to everyone whether he is a homosexual or a heterosexual. He also said that the government was also very empathetic to the fact that they should be treated equally. On the Other hand Aamir Khan says that he welcomes the decision of the Delhi high court in nullifying Article 377. Aamir says that he is in very much support the right of every individual to live the way that he or she chooses. The Kambhakkt Ishq’s actor Akshay Kumar’s is a controversial king now. The censor board has asked the Khiladi actor Akshay Kumar to stop playing the ‘Khel’ of delivering unacceptable dialogues in his forthcoming movie Kambhakkt Ishq. Dialogues such as “Women are good for only two things, making love and making love” and “Marriage Ke Pehle Ladkiyan Sex object Hoti Hai and Marriage Ke Baad Mein They object to Sex” have created a huge cry amongst the audiences and the censor board has asked producer Sajid Nadiadwala to cut those scenes in order to get a U/A rating, or take an ‘A’ rating instead.

We remember how the two Khans fought on Katrina’s birthday last year after Salman accused SRK of making certain statements which were hurtful to the actor. But, with Salman making conciliatory statements on his show, looks like the friendship between the two has got another chance at its feet.

After a quiet break-up with long time girlfriend Preity Zinta, Ness Wadia seemed to have moved on in life with utter confidence. It is heard that he has found a new love in Ayesha Thapar, the heiress of Thapar Industries. It’s only a month and Ness got over his past relationship very coolly while Preity is still trying to get over the trauma.
Ness and Ayesha’s proximity was seen at a party. Their camaraderie was tremendous and the two were seen in an upbeat mood chatting and gelling quite well. The annual Vijay TV Awards were presented at a ceremony over the weekend. While the usual suspects picked up the big awards, a rare appearance by actor Jyothika and an emotional speech by Kamal Haasan made it a not-so-usual affair.
