Yeah, you read that right, Bollywood’s Khiladi Akshay Kumar has reportedly reduced his fee from Rs 50 crore to 20 crore. According to reports, Akshay, who is known to be very particular about the money he takes home, has gone ahead and done something really unexpected by slashing down his price. What’s all the more surprising is the fact that Akshay took the step after the overwhelming response to his latest film ‘Kambakkht Ishq’, which generated more than Rs 100 crore at the Box Office. It is believed that the major reason for this price reduction is that the actor now wants a part of the profits of every film he undertakes. With the new mechanism in place, Akshay, these days, is insisting on knowing the cost of the film at the time of signing it so that he can calculate the profit beforehand. Now that’s called some business acumen!

Passionate as ever on subjects involving Bebo, the actor is breathing fire on reports that his lady’s love life has influenced a movie ‘Secret Life of Kareena’. Out to clear all controversies, the actor also denied earlier reports suggesting that he had undergone Botox treatment to get that younger look for his debut production ‘Love Aaj Kal’.

It is rumored that Spectra Multimedia Films is going to make a film based on the love triangle of Shahid, Kareena and Saif. The film titled ‘The Secret Life of Kareena’ and it will reveal the hidden truth of Kareena’s life as what made her dump Shahid and fell in love with Saif during the shooting of Tashan. It will also divulge as how Kareena snubbed Soha Ali Khan and many such interesting facts which the cine-goers might have heard only in bits and pieces. To avoid any controversy, the protagonists will tentatively name the characters as Karina, Saifee and Shaheed. It is also heard that Saifee’s character in the film to some extent will be inspired from Salman Khan’s hot-headed personality encircling his violent love stories with his ex-girlfriends Somi Ali and Aishwarya Rai. To bring the real life incident on celluloid involves risk as the real personalities might raise objection. Moreover, the makers are facing difficulties in getting stars as no one is willing to portray the real character. They have approached actress Shradha Sharma to play Karina’s role but the actress politely turned down as she is uncomfortable with a particular scene where Shaheed cuts his wrists for the actress and moreover she does not want to miff Kareena by playing the real life Karina.

Amitabh Bachchan underwent his regular check up at Lilavati Hospital on Wednesday morning.. Bachchan, 66, was hospitalized last year due a to severe stomach problem. The hospital authorities refused to comment about the checkup. Amitabh cleared all the confusion in his blog. He said that he departed from London to Mumbai a day earlier for a CT scan and general examination. He also added that he had cancelled all his travel plans and shooting untill he was fighting fit.Let us pray for the speedy recovery of Big B!

Recession stalls Ekta’s channel launch

After her serials going off air and her films not striking success at the box-office, now its producer Ekta Kapoor’s channel that will not be launched. The soap queen who was on the verge of launching her own entertainment channel will have to put it on hold due to recession. Though Ekta had invested and applied for the broadcast license of her channel, after her rift with Star India.
Ekta’s Balaji Telefilms Ltd along with Star India had plans to launch regional channels, however the delay in these plans led to a fall out between the two. She had then planned to start her own channel almost a year ago, but recession did play spoilt sport. The channel would air daily soaps and reality shows. With the delay of her new project we wonder what Ekta’s plans for her future are? Will we see the staple Saas Bahu sagas played out of Balaji’s stable?
